car description

The Porsche 911T 2.2l offered for sale here was delivered to America in 1970 and imported to Germany in 2015. "Back“ in Germany, the owner decided to fully  restore the car. In the course of the restoration, all technical units were overhauled. The Porsche 911T impresses with its perfectly running engine and transmission, which allow the car to glide over the road. The "911" was painted from grey to Irish green and the interior was fitted with classic Pepita seats. After the restoration, an acceptance test was carried out in accordance with § 21 StVZO (German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations), which granted the car an H registration plate.

The Porsche comes from a large collection from southern Germany and remains in an absolute mint condition. It is a first-class coupé which offers a lot of driving pleasure but also represents a good and safe investment

History of the series

The first 911 was presented to the public on 11 September 1963, as the so-called original model, at the IAA in Frankfurt with a 2-litre six-cylinder boxer engine. Originally, the new Porsche was named after its internal project name - 901. This led to various discussions with the Peugeot company, so that from October 1964 the car was renamed to what is now known worldwide as the 911. In 1969, the displacement of all engines was increased from 1991 cc to 2195 cc (2.2 litres).

Two years later, the displacement was increased again to 2341cc (2.4 litres). The power of the engines increased accordingly, so that the top model, the 911 S, now produced 140 kW (190 hp) on the road. With the engine increase in 1971, an oil filler flap was installed behind the passenger door in addition to the standardisation of the four-speed transmission. Thus the so-called "oil filler flap model" was created in this model year.
